The Vince Smith CenterYouth Day Treatment

This program offers services to youth ages 13 to 17 years old that are in need of more intensive services than outpatient. This program is co-located at the Vince Smith Center with our residential program, and gives youth the opportunity to participate in structured programming and treatment in the daytime and return to their homes in the evening. Hours of the program are from 8 am - 4 pm. Students also receive educational services during their treatment. Families meet weekly. We do sometimes offer a Twilight program that allows youth who are currently succeeding in the geographical school to attend the program from 3pm - 9pm in the evening.

Youth Residential Treatment

Our Residential Treatment program is designed to work with youth that are in need of 24 hour a day, 7 day a week supervision. Teens, ages 13 to 17, receive more intensive treatment at the Vince Smith Center, SWFAS' 20-bed center for youngsters with drug and/or alcohol problems. Treatment can range from 60 to 270 days, followed by four months of continuing care. Classroom instruction is offered on-premises by cooperative arrangement with the Lee County School District.

Referrals to this program are made from both the community and the Juvenile Justice System, but are funneled through our Assessment Programs.

Youth Continuing Care Program

Teens and their families who graduate from either the residential or day treatment program are automatically enrolled in sixteen weeks of Continuing Care, which meets weekly in order to support teens and their families who are recovering from substance abuse.
