Short Term Residential Treatment
SWFAS operates a 12 bed (6 male, 6 female) short-term, residentially treatment facility for adults at the Transitional Living Center (TLC). This is an intensive, therapeutic and educational program, emphasizing individualized treatment. A holistically-oriented, treatment team accesses, not just addiction issues, but all areas of the patient's life. These may include vocational, educational, medical, psychological, spiritual, recreational, nutritional and emotional needs. SWFAS programs are also equipped to address most co-occurring mental disorders. The average treatment duration is four weeks. This program emphasizes family and other inter-personal relations, which are necessary for a healthy recovery. Life skills and vocational/educational assistance is available during treatment and in continuing care.
Day Treatment
Residential treatment is available to day patients, who have a sober supportive environment in which to reside during their admission. They may leave the facility, at the Transitional Living Center (TLC), each day (Monday through Saturday) at 4:30 p.m. or they may stay for evening activities, which often include 12-step meetings. These group meetings are also offered on campus each day.
Evening Treatment
Employed adults have the opportunity to remain working, and receive intensive treatment, during the evening.
