Outpatient Services
Southwest Florida Addiction Services provides Intensive Outpatient treatment. Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) is a structured treatment program, for people who need substance abuse treatment while they live at home and continue to function in their environment.
Generally people, appropriate for this level of care, are experiencing some emotional difficulties, due in part to the consequences of their addiction. Treatment consists of combining a psycho-educational approach with a group process, lasting for at least three hours a day three days a week.
The assessment is ongoing and part of a holistic approach, addressing the marital and family problems, created by addiction. Individual therapy is offered, as well as psychiatric referral and consultation. The length of stay is individualized. As individuals progress in treatment, services will be stepped down to a less intense level of care.
Ideal candidates for success in IOP are employees, referred by their employer or professional organization.
